Dry mortar is also called hydraulic cement dry mixing mortar. It is a mixture of aggregate (such as silica sand), inorganic cementitious material (such as lime or cement) and additive by different percentages. After mixing with water at site, it can be used directly for cementation, liner, protection, decoration, thermal insulation purpose in building and decoration industry. The promotion of dry mortar contributes a lot to the dust pollution control.
 
To produce high quality dry mortar, it is necessary to take control on the water percentage that sand contains. Rotary sand dryer (river sand, sea sand, yellow sand) could reduce moisture content to 0.5-1%. People prefer triple pass drying technology to the traditional single drum dryer for sand drying. Triple pass dryer has the advantages of smaller floor area, higher capacity, higher thermal efficiency.
 
The application of sand dryer is not limited to dry mortar, but also in glass production, refractory materials, ferrosilicon melting, foundry sand, wastewater treatment, artificial beach, sand blasting, grinding materials.
