Influence of material on dryer design

The design of the dryer depends primarily on the material, according to the different physical and chemical characteristics of different materials, the internal structure of the dryer is not the same.
I. Physical properties
1. Water content: The initial water content and final water content of the material are the primary thinking elements of the dryer equipment. The initial water content of the material is related to whether the feed is uniform, whether it need to be dehydrated, filtered before feeding. If the final water content is low, the hot air temperature is relatively higher, and the drying equipment cylinder is relatively longer.
2, particle size: the particle size of the material affects the selection of the feeder, usually the feed particle size of 250mm is suitable for 980*1200 groove feeder, is commonly used in the 400*600 jaw crusher. The pendulum and disc feeder of 12-20mm are mostly used in the drying machine equipment.
3, viscosity: viscous material is easy to accumulated in the cylinder inside, so drying viscous materials the temperature is higher, and the cylinder body is longer. Materials in the high temperature more easily stick to the wall of the cylinder, not easy to discharge, so the dryer is equipped with cleaning equipment.
4, Ignition point: the temperature can not exceed the material ignition temperature.
Ii. Chemical Properties
1, abrasion: Abrasion greatly affects cylinder and plate of the dryer equipment. The abrasive gas and dust affect the selection of dust collector and using life.
2, oxidation: Some materials can not touch hot air or air, so we use the hot blast furnace heating, which is a kind of direct heat transfer.
